Believe it or not, every good therapist has done their own work. So please know, you’re not alone. Whether it’s your first time in counseling, or you’re back for new or recurring issues, this is a way to the better version of you. Away from a fear based life, and towards a value based life. A life worth living, experiencing, and breaking free from fear, worry, stagnation, and self-defeating patterns.
I’ve always wanted to help others. I was a Biological Sciences major with hopes to be a Doctor, or a Nurse… life took some different turns and I ended up as a teacher. Though I loved it, and I was still helping people, it was not in the capacity that I desired. So I took a step of faith and pursued my Masters in Counseling with a Dual Specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy. Throughout my program I knew that I wanted to be a Counselor, a proficient Counselor. Someone who gets it. A Therapist who works with you, free of judgement. During the process I entered my own healing journey and have seen the true benefits of working with skilled and qualified clinicians.
After graduating in 2015 I worked with clients struggling with addictions, substance abuse, personality disorders and anxiety and depression. I was privileged to have spent time as a Primary Therapist at the world renown Addiction rehabilitation facility in Boca Raton, FL. I have also trained under two CBT Diplomats, where I gained unique and skillful experience to conduct effective Cognitive Behavioral Therapy sessions. I have also taken ample quality CBT and DBT courses.
Looking back, I’m glad I took that step into this profession — I’ve seen so many individuals and so many lives changed. I hope that I can offer the same experience for you.
